The general consensus seems to be that Redline has better anti-oxidant qualities and is thus more resistant to coking in a turbo.

Elsewhere on the board, there is lots of discussion regarding rumours that ExxonMobil has switched to or added GroupIII basestock for their Mobil 1 synthetic line of oil. Group III, for those who don't know the lingo, is based on mineral-based oil, like Castrol is accused of using. This is considered inferior to Group IV (PAO) and Group V (Ester) based "true" synthetic oils.
